I am committed to helping others through the movement and mindfulness of yoga, as this practice has had a huge impact on my life. My journey to today has been full of ups and downs and twists and turns. These challenges have formed the person I have become and continue to influence the direction of the path that I am on.

Helping people has always been at the core of my calling. From working in marketing and sales at a resort helping people create unforgettable memories to working as a physical therapist assistant helping people improve function and regain autonomy, I have continuously been drawn to areas where I can be of service to others.

Most recently as a physical therapist assistant, I came to believe that I could do more to treat the whole person – mind, body, and soul. Through an interest piqued by a continuing education program and encouragement from my husband, I started taking classes at a local studio to make sure that yoga was really the path that I, and my patients, needed. Though my practice inevitably fell off, the seed was planted.

In 2019, yoga flowed back into my life in a huge way. I took a leap of faith and signed up for Muskegon Yoga Center’s 200-hour yoga teacher training. This was the spark that reignited my passion for yoga and guided me back onto my path.

Though I initially came to yoga for the physical benefits for myself and my patients, I soon discovered there was so much to learn and gain from the mental and spiritual aspects of the practice, as well. Through my training with Kristine Mast at Muskegon Yoga Center and my studies to become a physical therapist assistant, I have continued to deepen my passion for guiding others on their own personal journey of wellness and self-healing.

I am a perpetual student – always learning, always growing, always evolving.

Shanti. Peace.
