What is holding you back?

“Anybody can breathe. Therefore anybody can practice yoga.” – T.K.V. Desikachar

“You should try yoga!”

Many of us have heard this at some point from well-meaning friends or family, a doctor, or a physical therapist. But how many of us have actually followed up on it and started a yoga practice?

The fact that you are here shows that you have at least taken a step toward learning more.

What is stopping you from taking the next step?  There are as many reasons for not trying yoga as there are people – they  do not like the idea of taking a group class, they are not flexible enough, they are not strong enough, it does not work with their schedule, there are no classes nearby, they are recovering from injury or illness, they cannot get up/down from the floor at all or not easily, or it is too “woo-woo” or spiritual.

Whatever your reason, I am here to help!

Through private yoga sessions, I can empower you to take an active role in your own journey to wellness.  Together we will work on creating an experience so that you can continue making progress toward your personal goals.

During our private one-on-one virtual yoga sessions, we will develop personalized sequences and practices based on your needs and desires for that day and your overall goals. Sessions may include the postures/poses of yoga, breathing practices, and/or meditation but the practices used will depend on you and your comfort level with each of them.

I teach yoga from a therapeutic and trauma-informed lens.  This allows me to better guide you through mindful movements that specifically address your areas of concern.  I am trained in vinyasa style yoga and am passionate about teaching privately to address your individual needs.  I also enjoy using and teaching the use of props as a way to make the poses and postures of yoga more comfortable and more accessible. Props can be as simple as stacked books, a chair, belt, towel, pillow, or a blanket. Or yoga specific props such as blocks, strap, blanket, and bolster can be used to achieve this accessibility.

Whatever is holding you back, I challenge you to try something new or different and book a private yoga session to take the next step on your journey to wellness.
